Chest/Sternum/diaphragm strained from vomiting?

I am a healthy 26 year old man who went out last Friday(24/02/17) and had a few too many drinks, as someone my age often does, but both late that night and the following morning my body was telling me that I needed to vomit. I've been in this situation enough times to know how it normally goes but this time someone was off immediately after the part where I would normally start getting better.

Just to clarify, the pain was not present at all the night before, or immediately after waking up the following morning on Saturday. The pain began roughly 20-30 minutes after throwing up the following morning, which only lasted for a few minutes and was about an hour after I had woken up that day.

The pain itself is more of a sharp pulling/tugging/pressure-like pain that is only present at one specific point anywhere in my chest. The pain is located almost directly in the center of my chest, offset to my left by no more than 1cm or 1/2inch and about 5cm or 2inch above my nipple line(I am male). Or, another description would be 4inch below the inner-most point of my left collar bone. The pain feels a lot like that of a muscle/bone type injury. As an active man I've fractured and bruised several ribs and pulled/strained my share muscles and this feels similar to both, it's more the location than anything that concerns me.

A few final points, today's date as I post this is Wednesday evening(1/3/17), 5 days after the drinks began. Throughout this entire ordeal I have not experienced any problems with my breathing, drinking or swallowing solid foods and have not noticed any blood(or anything that resembles) being coughed up or passed. There is no feeling of the excessive need to cough, sneeze, runny nose or any kind of flu/cold type symptoms and I am not a smoker of cigarettes, marijuana yes. The pain is primarily present and increasing painful with the amount of force exerted by my entire upper/inner chest region, more so when I sneeze/cough, as well as when I move my shoulders/shoulder blades close together in front of my chest and behind my back. Along with issues states, general movements and daily life is not obstructed or hindered to any significant degree, it has just become mildly uncomfortable/painful.

I've tried to be as informative and descriptive as I could and any help would be greatly appreciated even though I already intend to see a physician/doctor before this week is out.

Missed one point and couldn't find an edit button, the pain is lighter and more unnoticeable in the morning and then becomes more intense as the day wears on. It also has not shown any real signs of worsening or improvement.

It could simply be your muscles since you mentioned it being calmed down in the morning. After sleeping your muscles are relaxed (or should be).
