What's going on with me??

I've suffering of a severe back pain that could not be treated due to a pregnancy.. after I gave birth I went to the doctor to be checked and he ordered some labs which I'm waiting on. The back pain is mostly behind my neck/upper back. I attribute this to bad posture but my bad posture is also attributed to the fact that I feel very week and tired lately. Two days ago, something else happened. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling extremely cold and shaky. I could not control the chills and nothing would make me warm. The episode lasted about 30 mins. Then the chills came back again during the day while I was at work.. and di not stop until much later that afternoon. I had to go home and put several layers of clothing on me until it stopped. Of course, when it stopped I realized I was very hot and sweeaty. I kept going from feeling very cold to feeling very hot all night and even today. I've also experienced moderate headaches (which subsided after taking pain medications). I feel very week, a bit lightheaded and this morning I had some abdominal pain close to the hips area. I think the pain was in my ovaries but I'm not sure.
any idea of what might be wrong?

make sure you were checked for any kind of post-birth infection. while infections arent common, they do happen. only other idea is you messed up your back and are having some kind of pinched nerve issue. go to a chiropractor if you think this could be the cause. a pinched nerve will cause 'strange' and out of the ordinary things to happen to your body, that will easily come and go, depending on the amount of pressure to the affected area. simply turning your head an inch can cause a pressure difference.

Hello I agree there could be some hormonal issues going on.  You could have an infection of some sort that your body is having trouble fighting.   You could be suffering from exhaustion.  How long ago did you have your baby?  Do You sleep well?  Are you eating a good diet?   The neck and upper back could be a pinched nerve in your neck or a disc issue with your spine just to name a couple of possibilities.  The weakness could be from an infection or problems with your levels such as thyroid.  It is really difficult to say the exact causes of your symptoms but I would recommend another trip to the doctor for labs/x-rays to try to find the answers.  I Hope This Helps.   Good Luck.

Chills and headache sound hormonalBack pain probably is postural. If MD didn't do hormonal testing, ask for it.
