Concerning the Undiluted Oral Application of Iodine: How Can I Heal My Mouth?

I was stressed insofar as forgetting how to properly take my meds, and so I applied an undiluted half dropper of iodine tincture on the underside of my tongue. Immediately upon contact, I spit it out and proceeded to rinse my mouth for twenty minutes. However, about two hours later: white streaks have appeared on the most damaged areas of the floor (one whiter than the rest) and I'm suffering from a raw, dry, astringent feeling and a slight burn (like that after hot sauce consumption). Furthermore, the metallic taste of iodine still remains and is exacerbated when I drink water. Are there any remedies for this? Please help.

Hello~I highly suggest that you see your dentist. I really don't know what home remedies to use, plus, if you have caused some type of infection, it needs to be looked into.
