You might want to discuss with your physician the advisability of antral lavage. It seems you have more than one thing going on.

The pressure in your ears and the white thick discharge from your nose sounds like congestion.  You can get a build up of pressure from the eustatian tube (pipe that runs from your ear to the throat).  Try inhaling over a hot bowl of water with some vick or olbass oil to relieve the congestion.  It would be worth getting your ears checked out for any infections.  The bad taste that you get from the trickle in the back of your throat is called post nasal drip (I get this a lot).  You can get the symptoms you describe from bacterial or viral infections.  Green or yellow discharge from the nose using is an infection caused by bacteria or virus.  No antibiotic will help if this is a viral infection.

Great to know you are being checked out for a thyroid problem and having a scan on your head.
I would also suggest you get your blood pressure checked too and checked for diabetes if that has not been done.

Try not to panic (easier said than done, I know).  The heart pounding and trying to catch your breath is usually a sign of a panic attack.
If you are not panicking and are having difficulty in getting your breath, without any other problems (throat, lungs) then it may be an allergic reaction to something or asthma.

Try and stay calm.   Stress and anxiety will accerbate any problems you have.

All the best

Thank you for keeping us posted.  I hope the doctors are able to help you with this problem!  My sister had a UTI for about 4 years and they finally did a culture to determine what would work for her.   I hope you are successful as well.  It's no fun being sick especially for so long.  Please let us know how you fare.  Prayers and best wishes.

The chances are this is an infection that will be self-limited, however, I strongly advise you to head for a teaching hospital and have an ER evaluation. With chronic headaches that persist more than a few days, certainly those persisting for a month, I would not hesitate to get an in-person evaluation from a physician and a neurological consult.

My natural health remedies book suggest taking Sepia for all kinds of problems relative to women.  It suggests taking 6 C twice a day.  It  works on so many different female problems and includes sinus infections.  Go figure.  I think I will get myself some tomorrow at the health food store to see if it helps me too.

We would be interested to know what your test results show.  Also, please consider taking a good Magnesium supplement.  Most of us do not eat enough green leafy vegetables: kale, spinach, romaine, broccoli and pumpkin seeds, so we don't get enough magnesium.  Magnesium is essential for nerve, bone and muscle health.  Without it we get spasms, trembling, zaps, anxiety, poor teeth and other symptoms.

If it isn't your sinuses, it could be a toothache.  Are your teeth okay?

Hi there,

Another thing I recommend for headaches is if you drink any type of caffeine you need to stop that too. From how your post read to me is that you had a headache for a long time before your other sxs. The other sxs are most likely sinus and from experience the best thing to do is talk to a doctor. If you can't afford one, someone at a pharmacy could help you out.
But the headache if it started before those sxs, then your headache could be something else. And the sinus issue is just making it worse like it did for me. My neuro told me to use Advil gel caps for fast relief, and to stop caffeine. The headache could be caused by stress, as well. For this try to find something to help relieve your stress. Get some me time in, maybe try meditating.
If your headache occurs on your temples. Then it is probably a tension headache. You can google many different ways to relieve these.
Kidney infections truly drink plenty water. And I guess exactly what 3839ferg said.
I will be praying for you and may God be with you,
Kimberly

At home test: sit down and put your head between your legs. If this quickly increase the pain (especally forehead and high check area) it is probably sinus?allergy type headaches. See your MD or a pharmacist for recommendations. that is what it sound like to me.
Kidneys: drink plenty of water to help "flush" them out, unless you have heart or other health problems which prevent this. Try cranberry tablets ( 3 tabs 2 times per day, depending on strength you  buy). This changes the acidity of the urine, and also causes an antibacteria response in part of the kidney system and may help prevent recurrent infections.
