PS : I took my blood pressure today and at 15 minute rest it was 125/86 ... could be lower but i'll take it, I havent had any episodes since I saw the 'lower' reading.
Could possible be Orthostatic hypotension, with my anxiety and SVT all at once, plus my stress levels being high....
not a good match.
I had an MRI 2 years ago, and an EEG ..I also had a holter and EKG within the last 6 months months. I have PVCs as well.
I'm going to the Drs today so we'll see!
POTS sounds a lot like what I could have, minus the low blood pressure.
Have you reconsulted your physician about this? I am not exactly sure this is pure "anxiety" or the anxiety is secondary to something else going on. i.e. a vascular issue.
Have you ever had an MRA or MRI of the head to view vessels? Blood work recently?
Another disorder that crossed my mind was POTS.
Regardless, you need to get into someone's office and have this addressed pronto!
I had such a bad day today! I was fine all day at work, and then just before I left I felt a fullness/high frequency feeling in my ear. I started to then have anxiety and at one point it was so bad I was dizzy, I couldn't stand up or talk without a rush feeling in my body, and my head felt heavy and pulsating and then went away I also went to blow my nose and my head felt heavy and my heart felt like it dropped.
I then had noticed my tissue had tiny blood specks mixed in with what i blew out....
I went to my fiancees house and still felt funny, I didn't even want to eat.
I set up an appointment to view an apartment tonight and was totally fine, talking, walking, everything.
I was too scared to take a BP reading, for fear of freaking myself out even more...
Idea?
Thank you!
I would have the anxiety issue further investigated by a professional too.
My anxiety seems solely based on my health and the fear of dying.
Sometimes i'm not even sure if I have anxiety and that it might be a health issue...
If I dont do my BP monitor for a few weeks, and I go back to doing it, it seems perfectly normal until I get one "higher" reading and then I get anxious again and they stay high for a few days...I feel the sensation of panic when the cuff is deflating, even though i'm trying to stay calm and breathe easy..
Well, there is nothing per se prescribed for a "fluctuating" bp.
I would recommend continuing checking it daily for a month and go from there.
Is the anxiety pertaining to health or is it in general?
October 2010 i meant to say, and no I am not taking any meds, no history of high BP and I quit coffee about 5 days ago. I barely drink a glass or two of wine a week, and no smoking at all. I drink plenty of water, about 3 bottles a day plus a few glasses for dinner.
I use an automatic bp monitor. I think I really work myself up.... I gave my doctor the results and she thinks it was white coat syndrome...and said I should still continue to monitor just incase.
I heard theres no real way to treat flucuating BP, because if I were to take anything to lower it, what about the days when i'm 108/75? Wouldn't it bring me dangerously low?
"Since October 10?"
Yes, anxiety can cause this.
I would NOT recommend taking so many bp readings so close together. More than 3x/in a row is NOT ideal, plus you are only waiting 5 mins between. Try taking your bp for about a week; once in the morning and once in the evening and write down the results. Then, you can give this to your physician. I would have your physician or his/her nurse instruct you on the proper way of measuring your bp.
Are you taking any medications at this time, i.e. bc pills? Any history of high blood pressure in your family? Drink alcohol or smoke?
I'm 25 not 24! typo! but a good one! lol
