As you have been diagnosed with tensing up your muscles and there are no other underlying causes, relaxation techniques and massages may help.
Soothing warm baths to relax your muscles, yoga, aromatherapy, reflexology or other forms of relaxation may help.
Also wear a scarf to keep your neck warm. Heat packs in the evening to unwind your tense muscles.
I am surprised the doctor hasn't suggest a course of relaxants.
Best wishes.
A lack of Magnesium is rarely diagnosed, but it can cause tremors, zaps, spasms, tics, and many other problems. You might start with that and see if it helps. Lack of Potassium causes similar problems but has to be monitored because too much potassium can cause other problems. - Maybe taking both Magnesium and a small dose of Potassium will help. - Good health to you.
I've seen many medical Doctors, Psychiatrists, psychologists and counselors. They all say it's caused from tensing the muscles in my neck, which causes a slight head tremor. My problem is that i cannot stop tensing my neck muscles, it's hard to understand.
I agree - you need to understand the cause. Don't label it anxiety if it has nothing to do with anxiety. But if it is anxiety, therapy could probably teach you techniques.
I suggest you see your doctor to find out if there is a underlying medical problem that is causing this.
Best wishes.
