I had a copper IUD placed and had horrible luck with it. It started with bad cramping which I though was normal. Then my back started hurting non stop but I was working as a cna and just blamed that. All of a sudden my head would start pounding to the point it would make me vomit then finally I started bleed very heavy for over three weeks I went back to my doctor had it removed and all the symptoms went away. I now have a mirenia and haven't had an issues. Good luck
