Just read your profile. To add, vitamin D deficiency is a significant risk factor for cancer, especially breast, prostate and colon cancer.  More than 3/4 of cancer patients have insufficient levels of vitamin D and the lowest levels of vitamin D are associated with more advanced cancer.

Vitamin D council state optimal vitamin D serum is 80ng/mL or 200nmol/l. I have read that cancer patients should be higher at 100ng/mL or 250nmol/L.

Excerpt from the youtube video - Reduce breast cancer risk with Vitamin D:

"Researchers following more than 500 women with breast cancer found that women deficient in vitamin D were 94% more likely to have their cancer spread and 73% more likely to die from their cancer. Vitamin D is pretty unique in its actions in that it does enter the cancer cells and induce them to undergo the cell death process."

Cholesterol levels over 1000 is due to is a genetic disorder called familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). The prevalence of heterozygous FH is approximately 1 case per 500. The prevalence of homozygous FH is 1 case per 1 million. Vitamin D plays a significant role in activating the body's immune defences. A very common deficiency state affecting over a billion.  See your doctor.
