Help roof of mouth pain!

The roof of my mouth is red and super sore when I swallow. It feels like I have a sore throat but on the roof of my mouth. It's towards my throat but not my throat. It hurts when I swallow or put pressure on it with my tongue. I haven't ate or drank anything hot and it didn't get cut or anything. It has little indents when it's sore. I brush my teeth at least twice a day too. Any ideas?

Do you take any pain meds or medications at all? You are suffering from extremely dry mouth. I had this and my tongue hurt so bad I would sit around with it sticking out. It felt better. I now use Biotene mouth wash, and no more problems. I was miserable, it felt like a chemical burn or something.

You might try gargling with warm salt water.  And you might need to see a doctor,  it could still be considered a sore throat.  Could be strep.

I've felt this way during the onset of a cold in the past, from bad allergies also.  Fluids, vitamin C - ask your pharmacist which medicines are best to treat those symptoms, visit a doctor if you have a fever.. I wouldn't worry.
