How long does coxsackie typically last for?

I am 19 years old and have developed coxsackie. I started to get the usual cold symptoms (fever, sore throat, runny nose) on the 5th. On the 8th I developed a wide spread of painful blisters in my mouth. There were so many on my tongue and throat and a few small ones on the inside of my cheeks and lips. I went to the er today and they gave me a steroid shot. Tomorrow I will start my perscription. I was wondering how long these blisters will last. I am in a lot of pain and can only eat jello. I'm weak from having not eaten a solid meal in four days. Is there any home remedies that will help speed up the healing process? Thank you for your help. It is greatly appreciated/

I take it you have type A? It usually takes around two weeks to run it's course. Make sure you take all of your medication. You might want to get some boost or ensure until you can eat solid food. I hope you feel better soon.  Remar
