you might try buying some ankle weights.  They would make you move your hips properly as it would be too awkward to revolve or swing them out like that. Walk briskly but not too fast - and concentrate on how you move.  Your body will adjust to your new gait.  Swimming will also help as you practice kicking against the water.  - Let us know how you're doing.

Hi i just wanted to ask you something else im not sure if it is normal or not but when i walk i tend to swing my legs round its like my hips are very weak and also i seem to lift my left leg higher than my right so it looks very odd i was wondering if you had any exercises i could do which would help me walk properly.
Thanks

Are you taking calcium, magnesium, zinc and vitamin D?  These elements are necessary to strengthen the bones and muscles.  Try doing squats with small weights in your hands.  Walking is also good - but don't overdo it.  It  will take time to build your body back to where it was - be patient and don't hurt yourself.  You'll get there. Swimming is also good exercise and try to get some sunshine.  Being young is a plus - don't run or jog until your legs are ready.
