I pulled a hang nail out of my ring finger and now it's gotten swollen and it hurts whenever I accidentally bump it. Yesterday it started to get bigger and on the side that I pulled the hang nail off it turned purple. Today it looks as if the purple is spreading. Should I go to the ER or wait?

I would soak in warm salt water, some peroxide, keep it clean, dry and protected.  As stated if you have a fever definatly go to the doctor.  I am not a doctor so I can not tell you what to do only recommend.  But they definatly hurt and I would say clean it real good, protect it from the air, dirt, and banging it with in a few days if not any better definatly get it checked out.

Keep us posted on how you are doing.  I hope it feels better soon!

Your welcome! Glad it feels better. I always seems when you have a sore it always gets bumped no matter what....  I hate that:) ♡♥
