I spit up blood with saliva and I don't know why?

I have been spitting up blood for the past month , I used to smoke and when I saw the blood in saliva I quit smoking but the random blood in saliva never stopped. It doesn't come with the mucus or phlegm rather it comes with the normal saliva. Sometimes it's just traces of blood and sometimes it's a bit more but I am more concerned about the consistency of blood rather than the amount.Mostly the blood comes when i wake up in the morning.I am not sure if it is coming from my gums or other parts of oral cavity or lungs. But i don't cough up blood rather I spit up blood and I don't feel any irregularity in my throat or breathing. And there is one more strange thing that recently my beard has started to turn goldenish/red .The rest of my body is normal but I am not sure if it's a nutritional deficiency or something else?

Hello~I would definitely see your GP, anytime time seeing blood is involved, it is always best to have it looked in to.

Hey there.  Welcome!  You should speak with your doctor.  Multiple things can cause blood in your saliva.  A possibility is gastrointestinal or esophageal issues. You could have bleeding in your mouth that is ongoing.  You could have sinus issues.  So, a full examination to determine more would be important.  https://www.md-health.com/Blood-In-Saliva.html.  Let us know what you find out.
