Itchy pimple like rash - What to do?

I have an itchy pimple like rash that is spreading all over my body. To my knowledge this is the third time I have had it but this time seems to be the worst. The area starts to really itch then turns into little pimples. Nothing OTC seems to help. The only relief I have is if I dot nailpolish over it. Seems to help. The rash is in the arm pit, chest, back, under the breast, sides of torso and is working it's way down. Some have already appeared in groin area and legs. I may have one on my head! Please help me find some sort of relief and a way to get rid of this! Years ago when I had a similar breakout I went to a dermatologist. He didn't know what it was either but said it may be viral. Suggested that I had a cut on the body which got an infection in it whicj=h may have caused the breakout. He gave me some scripts and topical lotions. Those helped very little and the rash eventually went away but it took months. Please help!

Sorry you have been plagued with this rash.  Have you been checked for Lupus?  There are several kinds of Lupus and it can affect your skin - causing pimple-like lesions.  It may take several tests to determine if you have Lupus as often there are false-negatives before it shows positive.   Stay out of the sun as much as you can and avoid tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, mushrooms and other nightshade vegetables.  Hope you all feel better.

I also get this; doctors don't seem concerned but burns, stings and itches like crazy; always the same area too - on torso above ribcage doctors say is viral rash; always after being sick (flu chest or sinus infection) for some time; just wish there was more information or some treatment; keeps me awake at night; usually dries up and goes after 2 weeks.

Well I would go to the DR. IF it's been years since the last time, they MAY know what it is now or have better solutions to help.
