I'm 14 years old and I do regular dancing on Monday night for three hours. Normally early hours on Tuesday morning (2am) I wake up half asleep with agonising pains In my muscles in my calfs, It's like they tighten up into a knot and the pain is awful, usually I put my other leg over it and press down hard until the pain stops (usually about 30-40 seconds) and then It may stop and could start and stop for the next 10 minutes. My Dad told me that when this happens stand on the leg and the pain will go away, but I tried to move my leg over to the floor but It hurt more and I had to put it bad on the bed, I usually end up in tears because It's so painful. Does anyone know what's happening or how to respond to it when It happens or how to avoid it in the future?
