Low temperatures and energy

First off I'm a 16 year old male. I play tennis about 3-4 hours a day currently going pretty hard.

I have a temperature that ranges from 96.3-97.2 and averages probably around 96.7. I'm not sure if that is considered normal or not.

Also I have some days where I just feel really lethargic. It can even happen on the day  after I take a day off. I just don't have energy. I can play tennis but I don't have my usual intensity. I don't understand what happens...I just feel drained.

Additionally during the course of an individual day if I am relatively inactive that I think is a contributor to sluggishness. Keep in mind thoughmy tiredness can happen on active days as well.

Is there a medical issue here at all?

Thanks!

Hello,

It sounds like you have a sluggish thyroid or what is known in the medical community as Hypothyroid. I would call the doctor and have a simple blood test done, this will help determine if this is the case. Is this your morning temperature? Normal should be 98.6.
