MY THROAT!! PLEASE HELP!!

Last weekend after having yet another episode of my throat feeling like something is coming out or growing inside of it and my lypmh nodes swelling up the doctor diagnosed me with having epligotitus. They treated me with a barrage a antibiotics, steroids, and prednisone for a whole week!! This is after i had been to the emergency room three previous times for this condition.  I've been out the hospital for more than a week now and still taking the meds but it hasn't seemed to get any better.  My throat still swells up inside randomly and i can feel an extreme pain in the middle of my chest right under my collar bone down to between my chest.  My lower back has been sore as well as my back behind my shoulder blade.  And when my throat starts to swell inside it feels like something is actually growing inside not my epligotis becuase i can still breathe hearing no stridor. I havent been smoking or anything and these attacks seem to come especially when im in a car.  When i breathe sometimes i can hear like a clicking soumd. These problems have been going on for more than a month.  Usually my throat only hurts on the left side inside and out but now seems to be spreading to the right.  PLEASE tell me what this is!!

Well, what diagnosis did you recieve when you were hospitalized?  Any ID (Infectious Disease) Specialist see you while in the hospital?

Secondly, keep in mind we are NOT doctors and can't appropriatly diagnose you over the internet.  Unfortunately, you might have to go through a "barrage" of tests, physicians, etc. to get answers and appropriately treated.  We are giving opinions based on what you have told us.  Even if one of the physicians responds to your post, you still need treatment.

Thank you for the responses. No i havent had panedoscopy done but i have been scoped by an ENT specialist two times and they only said i had imflimmation.  But contionusly feel like im swallowing pieces of my throat and today again my lymph nodes, especially on the left side swelled up again. Behind my shoulder blade and under it hurts again.  When i huff in and out i feel something moving back and forth, My behind my neck down to my back is sore again. When i swallow it feels like i have no throat.  Im really nervous about what this could be because these episodes seem to happen almost daily and i've already been hospitalized for a week because of this and racked up a hefty bill because of it.  Please what this could this be?

Have you had a Panendoscopy done?  A Panendoscopy is a Laryngoscopy, Esophagoscopy and Bronchoscopy all in one to view throat/airway.

I would not begin to say what this is.  I know you should have further testing.  Are you being followed up by an ENT Specialist?  Who are you seeing for this problem?
