Mirena IUD and pregnancy

I've had the mirena since October. I used it as emergency contraception, not realizing it was not approved. This was right after the last period I've had (nearly 11 weeks ago). I spotted for a few weeks afterwards, but no period, te spotting stopped a little over 6 weeks ago. I've been nauseated, swollen, bloated, insmonia riddled, and have been having terrible lower back pains. I am afraid that not only could I be pregnant, but that it could be something more serious like an ectopic pregnancy or an ovarian cyst. I also do not have health insurance until after the first. Thanks. Any advice appreciated.

Well I personally think it's your body adjusting to it.. i had the paraguard iud and it took my body awhile to adjust to it as well.. Just got it removed and ttc and it takes 60-90 days for all the hormones to get out of my body.. can u believe that?!

i took two that were negative but I've noticed the bottom of my mirena possibly sticking out and I've been having alot more pain and I've had some hair loss and jaundiced hands and feet so I'm starting to think it just needs to come out. Thanks for responding tho!

Have you taken a HPT?  If not, I would recommend doing so. You need to see a doctor, if it is an eptopic pregnancy, It could have serious complications.
