Hello~It is probably nothing, but, it would be wise to have a doctor check things out just to make sure.
yes the still have it - it would semm to be a growth and development issue. as it wasn't always there. it developed . so I guess just a mis-shapen bone or something. doesn't cause them any medical problems. (not to my knowledge)
Thank you so much for your reply LidaD! Do they still have it? Or, did it disappear later? It seems like this condition may have something to do with growth and human development.

this is rare but not altogether uncommon. My mom, sister, brother and neice have similiar problem. They haven't been diagnosed with Anything being Wrong ! But it's wise that she go to the dr. Best of luck.
