My husband had bell's palsy several years ago and completely recovered. The hardest thing for him was keeping his affected eye healthy - he had to wear an eye patch and use drops because of course, he couldn't blink.
Are you using eye drops?
Wow, I am glad you went to the doctor. This has to be really scarey. I am glad to hear you can get treatment. Keep us posted as to how you are progressing. I cannot even imagine. hugs
I'm happy you got a diagnosis!
I ended up going to the doctors the very next morning. It's a condition call Bell Palsy. IT is something either infection (viral) or infamation around this major nerve causes it to stop working properly. It can die and take a while to regenerate. It controls all muscle movement of the brow, cheek and tongue in that half of the face. So i;m now on meds and hope that i heal fast on the 2 week to 2 month prognosis.
This sounds lie a very rare type of disease. I forget the name of it but I have a friend who had this. He was hospitalized for months. But that was years ago and he is alive and healthy today. But he is extremely resistant to pain in his entire face now. Take care yourself and go to the ER. Good luck and hope all goes well
You need to go to an emergency room and have an MRI as of yesterday. IMMEDIATELY! It's not a drug interaction.
I would take my med to the ER.It could be a drug interaction, or even signs of an oncoming stroke. Do not wait around. Better safe than sorry.
