Rash on almost entire body!...What is going on?

As if I haven't been having enough anxiety already, I've developed a rash covering most of my body.  Never had I had one that looked exactly like this and I'm freaking a bit.  I noticed a few spots on my arm earlier today but it has progressively gotten worse all day.  It's mostly like redish/pink small blotches that are fairly close together.  There are also, especially on my legs, areas that seem to have really small red spots.  My arms and legs seemed to be affected the most but it's on my stomach, chest, back, feet, and hands as well.  It doesn't really itch though.  Yesterday, I was out in the sun for several hours but used sunscreen.  My face got a little sunburn and a tiny bit on my arms.  I used Coppertone SPF 50, the spray kind, and it turned me orange all over, even my fingernails - some of it washed off but I still have orange patches.  A friend of mine used the same sunscreen and it did not have that affect on her, no orange at all.  Also, I've been taking several medications recently including Lexapro for anxiety, Bactrim - Actibiotic for ear infection, and Lodrane - for congestion.  All of the medications I've been on for at least 8 days already.  I know you are supposed to be careful about being in the sun when on antibiotics so could that have caused this to happen?  Could it be an allergic reaction to the sunscreen?  This is so frustrating!

It could be the antibiotic and sun exposure. Call your pharmacy and ask if you should stay out of the sun while taking your antibiotic.
Yes, it may be the sun block too.
Get an oatmeal based bath soak. That should help. Keep us up to date on how your doing and try to stay out of the sun until your finished with your antibiotic.  Remar

The rash is almost gone, barely noticeable, as of this evening.  I went to the doctor first thing yesterday morning.  He seemed to think it was a reaction from the antibiotic and sun exposure - and gave me a shot of steroids.  Thanks again for your help.  I'm feeling much better now!

Your welcome. I kind of figured you were having an allergic reaction.Your Dr will know if the rash is from the sunscreen and or the antibiotic.  That's good that you only had one more dose of your antibiotic left. Ask your Dr if you can use an oatmeal based bath soak to help with the rash. Let us know what you find out.  Remar

Thanks, remar.  I did decide to contact the pharmacist and she said, based on the rash being over my entire body, she feels as though I'm having an allergic reaction to the antibiotic that I'm taking - generic for Bactrim.  She said antibiotics could cause you to get sunburn much more easily but wouldn't create a widespread rash.  She obviously told me to stop taking the antibiotic, which I only had one more dose of, and contact my doctor.  Hopefully this goes away soon because it's worrying me and I look ridiculous!
