Right Side Pain
I went to the doctor because my right side is hurting when you press down hard. He said I was in pain because I worked out 2 days before. Can it be something different?

I was having some discomfort on my lower right side and after dealing with it for a while, i went to see my GYN. Come to find out i had ovarian cyst on my right side. It started to get a little more bothersome around my period. I thought it was appendicitis at one point because i fell over in so much pain that i could not even stand straight up. The cyst had ruptured. There is toxic fluid in the cyst and can and will be bothersome as they grow. There is so many different things that it could be thou, that you almost need to make a list and start at the top checking things off one by one. Wow, They can be a real pain in your side and your butt!LOL Sorry to here that. Sorry i did not get right back to you. My computer had a crashing problem. Glad i have a 17 yr. old computer wiz for a son. Some times the doctor will want to know if it will ease up on its own(sometimes they will go down right before your period). It gets pretty scary if it does'nt go down on its own. We are talking about alot of pelvic exams in one day and an ultra sound. Not the kind that goes across your belly, it's the kind they do by putting a probe inside of you. They are able to see the cyst alot better. Every woman has cysts on their ovaries. They usually go away on their own but, every once in a while they don't. They continue to grow and begin to cause some pain and will rupture on their own before they get to big or on the other hand, some get so large;apple or grapefruit size; that they rupture and release alot of toxic fluid that infects every thing around it and you will need to get some medication for it. And then there is some that need to be removed with surgery. It is pretty painful no matter which way it happens. Listen to the doctor unless it gets worse to the point where you can not handle it, then go to the ER and tell them what's going on and what the doctor said. Wow, i really do feel for you. There is one more thing. I started getting them so bad on my right side that they had to remove my right ovary. Yes, i still had 2 more babies and getting preg. was not a problem, so don't get worried about that, ok? That is only when there is no other choice thou!!!!! Best wishes and good luck! I ended up going back to the doctor on Monday afternoon and he said I could have a cyst on my right ovary he told me they go away on their own but if the pain was still there by Friday morning to go back in for an ultrasound of my side. Why would I have to wait till Friday for a ultrasound if I don't feel well now was my question to the doctor but he said Friday? It has been hurting now for about a week and a half.
I don't have a fever , I'm not nauseous it's just a slight discomfort on my lower right side sometimes it hurts bad other days its just mild.

Right side pain can sometimes indicate appendicitis. When the doc released the pressure, did you have pain then, called "rebound pain". Are you nauseous? Running a fever? If it continues, I would see another doctor and ask for more tests, one being a white blood count, it is better to be safe than sorry.
I need a little more information. Where on your right side? Your belly, chest, arm? Where exactly? Sorry, i am blond!!LOL
