Slow rising/dropped hcg levels

DH and I have gone through several rounds of fertility.  We conceived our son using FET.  We decided since we have never been pregnant on our own that we would not go on anything since he was born.  Its been 9 months now, and I got a positive HPT 2 weeks ago!  Sadly my numbers didn't double.  Start at a 10.  2 days later 130!  2 days later bleeding and ER had HCG at 160.  2 days later spotting HCG 190.  2 days later spotting hcg dropped to 168.  Now the spotting has never been any more than just that.  I haven't had any pain.  Friday night the spotting stopped.  Today it's Sunday. I did a HPT thinking if the bleeding hasn't happened for over 36 hours maybe my HCG is back to normal.  NOPE.  HPT came back positive in 10 seconds.  My progesterone was always good.

So what's the deal?  Am I miscarrying?  I thought there should be a lot of blood and cramping?  Shouldn't the bleeding continue until my HCG is back to normal?  What ar the chances that this will all of a sudden take off and be healthy?

It was just wondering if anyone has experienced a slow rising hcg mine was 13 on Thursday and has now increased to 33 on Monday. However my progesterone was 17 on Thursday and has dropped to 7.5 on Monday. My NP says I should expect my period this week. I still have sore breasts but no other pregnancy symptoms. Do I have any real hope here?

Here is a site to our womens health forum, I feel they will be more knowledgeable in answering this, unfortunately, I am not too familiar with pregnancies and such. Good luck.
