I've never had a sunburn rash. It hurts! What should I do? It is hot/red. Very dry.

Use a lotion wih Aloe because the aloe will help heal the damaged skin and smoth it, you can also take motrin or Tylenol to relief the pain and inflamation of the skin. The sunburn should last about 3-7 days and then the damaged skin (top layer) will die and peal off leave a new layer. Oh and by the way please use sunscreen next time, for each sunburn you get it increases your chances of skin cancer.

I think most lotion works but what kind is it maybe put a calamine lotion on, but nothing perfumed. Cold cloths placed on the hot burning area may help soothe run a face cloth under the cold tap, the place it against the sunburnt area .
