Throat Tightness & Lightheadeness

Hello,

I am 32 years old (6 feet, 208 pounds) and I have been experiencing upper chest / throat tightness & lightheadedness every day since 12/15/10 ... Driving me crazy. I can breathe normally. I've never had a fever, no aches, no pains, no injuries. I have had 2 EKG's, a brain MRI/MRA, a brain CT scan, chest xray, blood tests, stress test, thyroid test, & my blood pressure checked on the regular.  All of these tests came back OK.
I've had 2 bouts of atrial fibrillation in '05 & '08, but that has ben ruled out. My eating habits are pretty healthy. I drink a good amount of water daily. I take a Multivitamin, Vitamin C, and Vitamin B daily. I get about 6-7 hours of sleep per night. I've been to see a cardiologist & my primary physician. I told my doctor that I get temporary relief from the throat tightness when I burp/belch so he suggested it might be acid reflux. I took Prilosec (20 MG) for 14 days as recommended & still feel the same. I don't think it's anxiety. ...  My doctor bills are piling up. I don't know what to do. PLEASE HELP ME.

Thanks, Sassy!  I was having a similar issue and found this thread.  Called the chiropractor immediately and they got me right in.  Back now and feeling much better already!  He said it was nerve irritation in my upper back which radiates into the ribs that was causing my symptoms.  I've been dealing with this for years, every cycling season and finally have an answer to its cause!

Since you have tried everything else and all the tests are "normal" I would try a chiropractor, you very well could have some pinched nerves in the mid/upper back region and this could very well be causing the trouble.
