Veins bulging in hands and feet and appearing on my legs!

Of late I have noticed the veins in my hands and feet bulging out sometimes - this has happened before in the past but seems to be happening more often now and I'm wondering what is causing it? Also, veins are beginning to show on my calfs and shins - small blue ones- close to the skins surface.  Sometimes I can see a lot of them round my chest arms and legs but they sometimes fade away then come back... but the ones I found on my calfs and shins seem to stay.

I have been looking into this a lot myself and found out about spider veins and varicose veins and I think that is what they are.  I have just begun a new birth control pill after some problems with my hormone levels and am also on the end of my recent period - could this be causing it? I read that it can if you are on the pill and have imbalanced hormones - such as being pregnant or on your period.  Will they fade or disappear when my hormone levels are balanced? Or will they remain for as long as I am on the pill?

Please help me... it is worrying me =(
Thanks guys x

I was on the pill to help with getting cysts on my ovaries. I would ask ur dr about the heaviness and things with ur legs because if you smoke or have other risk factors you could have a blood clot. (DVT) I smoke and was only on the pill 5months and got a blood clot. I never thought it could happen to me not at my age. plz got it checked out.
