Warts Transmission

Hello. A day ago I was over at my mom's helping her cook dinner for the family and noticed something on her wrist. Worried, I decided to check it out and briefly touched it, no longer than two seconds as she immediately pulled away saying it was a wart. I've done some research and read conflicting info online about the transmission of warts. Some say it's highly contagious while other claim they aren't as contagious. Also read that HPV--what causes warts needs a break in the skin to be able to transmit. Last week I managed to get my index finger scraped a tiny bit from the cheese grater when making some snacks for my kids but didn't notice any openings on my fingers that I know of. Is it possible that warts could have spread with that brief touch?

Hello~I don't think you have a thing to worry about. Just keep a watch on the area, and if you notice something different then contact your GP, but as I said, I don't think you need to worry at all.

I forgot to mention that I immediately washed my hands after she told me it was warts. Used hand sanitiser and rubbing alcohol as well.
