Why does my neck sometimes hurt when I crack it?

Sometimes I can't crack my neck on the left side (just by turning my head you know?) and when I do it'll hurt. It doesn't hurt every time, and sometimes it has actually felt better after.

What causes this? Is it bad to crack your neck?

When you crack your neck or any other bones/joints in your body you are releasing gas pressure from between the bone. Sometime when the bones or joints are pushed it the pressure pushes down on a ligament or tendon giving you pain. It's ok to crack your neck, or any other joint in your body. Maybe you should try seeing a chiropractor for help and tips on cracking. Take care
