Losing the ability to walk...

I seem to be losing awareness of my hips. Walking is now awkward and uncomfortable, but not so bad that I can't or don't walk. Sometimes I limp, but not due to pain, because I am physically unable to move in the correct way. It feels like I am less aware of my hips and groin area then I used to be. Does anyone know what this might be or be related to? I wasn't always like this, I used to be able to walk normally. Thanks

PS I tried searching through all the forums to find the most appropriate catagory, hopefully this one will do.

I recently went to my GP to describe this to him, he basically said "its disassociation/drugs, go away now". I think it was caused/brought on during a time of heavy ecstasy/amphetamine abuse.

This is a general loss of awareness in  lot of my body, parts of the face/head, neck, throat/back of tongue, neck, arms/hands, eyes, lower back/kidney area.

Eg, holding a joypad is awkward and not easy/effortless like it used to be, especially controlling my thumbs.

I went for a mental health assessment, she said she thinks it is disassociation (whatever that is), and that the awareness problems are caused by my anxiety problems. She said if I wasn't happy with that I should go and ask my doctor for a blood test to see if I'm anemic. I was also told to not come to medhelp anymore.

Could I get a few opinions on what I've been told please?

Clearly, you need an in-person evaluation, preferably at a teaching hospital. There are many possibilities. A structural disorder might be treated by an orthopedist, however Parkinsen's disease ocasionally starts with this presentation. The term "less awareness" in the hips is a diagnostic hallmark, especially in the absence of pain..

I suggest seeing your GP or an Orthopedic.
