abdominal/back pain

Hi. I am a 28yr old female and a career firefighter. Today at work I have developed some pain that is in my abdomen (near my left hip) and also in my back on the left side. The last thing that i did physically before I noticed this pain was lift a patient on a stretcher and place it into the medic unit. I didnt actually notice the pain until later back at the station, so i cant really pick out one point and say "ah ha! That's what did it!". I just now have this dull, nagging, crampy pain that is in my left lower back and comes around over the top of my hip to my abdomen. Any ideas?

Hi!

You may have pulled a muscle or even possibly created a misalignment.  Would consider seeing a Chiropractor.  I swear by them!  Then, if it is something more involved, they will refer you accordingly.

With your profession, regular Chiro adjustments can really help.  You also may consider asking about orthotics for your shoes, so it can help keep your spine in alignment.

Hope you feel better,
Pat
