Avoid caffeine, spicy foods, acidic foods (such as citrus fruits, tomatoes, vinegar based sauces, etc.), reduce or elminate carbonated beverages (the carbonation can make heartburn/acid reflux worse even if they don't contain caffeine). Chocolate can also aggravate acid reflux. Some people also find that peppermint aggravates their acid reflux, but others find that it soothes their stomachs. I, personally, find that I can tolerate spearmint much better than peppermint.
Also avoid smoking, eating too large of a meal, laying down for at least two hours after eating.
If you're finding that you're having acid reflux symptoms, it could also help to raise the head of your bed - you can purchase bed risers at places such as Walmart - they come in a pack of 4, but you will only need to use 2 - for the head of the bed only.
there are many foods and actions that truly affect my acid reflux as well as just the acid content of my stomach.
try to leave out tomatoes oranges(unless fresh-less acidic),coffee, cigarettes
thats just a short list, I too would have to know if it's acid reflux or acid indigestion
