what would change my husbands personality after 18 years of marriage?

my brother who was a nice kind hardworking man has completely changed after having a severe pain in his head. He won't shower he yells he won't drive and tells same thing over and over and says there is nothing wrong with me

Sometimes folks can have a complete change of personality of they have had a mini stroke. If he continues to be like this, I would have him see a doctor and have some tests run to rule out stroke, or maybe even a type of dementia as that, too, can cause a personality change.

i agree I think it depends on what kind of changes you are talking about it could be anything from just plain midlife crisis, stress, alcohol, mental illness dementia or just a change in his personality. If he has become real cranky maybe he is pain and is trying to hide it from you but it comes out as him being cranky.

     The best thing for you to do if you are concerned is for the two of you to sit down together and talk about it. Let him know how you feel and that you are worried, ask if their is anything going on that would cause this and maybe let him know that you would like him to be checked out by a dr just to make sure that he is ok if you are really concerned.

Depends upon what kind of change it is. If he gets too much angry, then get his liver checked. If he spends a lot of money, possibly a maniac. What kind of personality changed have you noticed? Explain it please?
