epigastric pain/tightness

Hello,

So I'm currently having some pain just around the center of my epigastric area. I woke up this morning in some discomfort with it. It continued throughout the day coming and going, it never got to a point of being unbearable but it made sitting at a desk quite sore.

My girlfriend has also had the same symptoms for maybe a day or two more than me.

We've both felt quite gassy like we need to burp, also very occasionally feeling sick but never actually being sick and nagging headaches for the past few days (not sure that's connected) vut neither of us are prone to lots of headaches especially back to back. Neither of us have had diarrhoea.

I've looked online but can't seem to see anything that doesn't come back to IBS, hitus hernia or something to that effect.

It's maybe just a stomach bug but I thought I'd ask to see if anyone might have an idea.

Thanks in advance.

Hey I'm so sorry for such a slow reply. Yeah we are both doing much better now, clearly just a bug/something we'd ate. Was a nuisance for a few more days then slowly started to clear up. It's just nice not to wake up in pain anymore :p

Thank you for taking the time to reply, same to you SassyLassie

Hi, I hope you are both feeling better. It sounds to me like a "bug" or maybe a reaction to the food you both ate.

If this keep occurring, I would suggest seeing your doctor to rule out anything of a more serious nature.

Very sorry I am so tardy to your post.

I assume that you and your girlfriend are feeling much better. I'm guessing because you both had the same symptoms it was either something you ate or one of those nasty "bugs" that can make their rounds in the Spring.

However one should never "assume" that their symptoms are "just a bug" or "something I ate" if they become extreme, don't resolve quickly or return.

I'm interested. How are you doing? I hope it's all just an unpleasant memory. I'll look forward to hearing from you.

My Best,
~Tuck
