how to get rid of lice

hey everyone, i am 14 , and had lice for 4 months during the summer,  no one knew besides my family. i found it soo embaressing, i would cry of embaressement and was disgusted in my self. What i did was used the prduct nix 3 times, (which does not work) i kept finding live lice. So what i did was used olive oil let it soak in my hair put a shower cap over for about 4 hours. it was kinda uncoftourble but did the job(: so eversince then i promised myself not to get it , so what i do now is take a shower almost every night . Then blw dry my hair, and straighten, i used to use tee tree oil and spray my hair with listerine. nut now there all gone. so what i would do is
1- put your hair in a shower cap and pour (1/2 - 1 depending on hair lenght) of olive oil..  (for atleast 4 hours)
2- take a shower and blow dry hair EVERYnight.
3- if long hair straighten
4- spray with listerine.
your hair might be a bit damaged after so use heat protection.

You may have had them alive elsewhere and continuing the cycle and the olive oil is a good idea so they cannot get a "grip" on the hair to start all over and finally they died w/o a living source.  There are sprays (not environmentally friendly) that can be sprayed on furniture and stuffed animals, car seats, hats, scarves, collars of coats, etc. that get rid of them in the home/apparel.  Another way is to bag anything in a bag for 2 weeks and they will die.

So glad you are okay now .. you sound very self-assured and thanks for helping others!
