Males do get urinary tract infections (UTI).  They can be quite miserable for either sex, but as has been pointed out already, males can suffer worse.  Their urethra is also often narrower, not just longer than that of females.  If you have a (UTI) be sure to get it treated properly.  Failure to do so can cause problems with your kidneys.

Urinary tract infections are usually a little worse for men because the uretha is longer.  And I would say no, they have no right to lie to you about std's.  In fact, some STD's have to be reported (such as HIV, Syphilis, Gonnorea) so they would have to tell you if you have them.

In the United States I don't believe this would happen. It would be grounds for a complaint against the physician and possible penalties. There would be no conceivable reason for him/her to do so.  And a male can get urinary tract infection.
