knees hurt

I am a 44 year old female and I am having a throbbing knee problem.  Both knees, radiates from knee up to lower back and sometimes down shins. The pain is not sharp, but a constant dull ache.  I describe it like striking a tuning fork... the pain starts in my knees and then radiates out to the other areas.  I do get sciatic nerve problems sometimes too.  The pain keeps me up at night.

How active are you? I am 30 yrs old male but sometimes I have that problem if I am not active or if I am suddenly active without warming up. I also know my family has heriditary knee problems but I am trying to stay active and work out to keep the blood flowing properly. Sometimes that could be the easiest solution.

My best suggestion to you is to see a chiropractor. You no doubt have some verterbrae out of alignment in your spine and hip area, and as long as it is out and pinching on nerves, you will have this problem. A few good treatments should clear this up and possibly other problems you have that you may not even know about.
