i have had these symptoms for months now, and i don't know how seriously i should take them. the symptoms are uncomfortable, but i can tolerate them well enough to get through work. i have seen a NP at an OB-GYN clinic about the symptoms upon recommendation of the nurse line of my insurance company. she seemed to dismiss the symptoms as nothing but ran a prolactin test to appease me when i insisted that something wasn't right. the test came back fine. i should mention that i am not pregnant, nor have i been since the symptoms began. also, a white patch on my back was discovered last week. it's about 2"x3" in area and looks like the opposite of a rash. it doesn't itch or anything, but in the heat of bathwater all of my skin is red except this area. it's pretty new.
that's all for recent changes that i've noticed with my health.
now i do have other symptoms that have been troubling me for years that i don't know if it would be related. i have seen a few doctors about the symptoms, but i don't seem to be getting any answers. the symptoms are pretty weird, at least to me. they include pressure and pain in my extremities. it starts about mid-forearm and mid-calf. this is sometimes accompanied by a sensation of heat. these symptoms can sometimes be relieved by squeezing my arms and legs all the way down to my fingers and toes. if i let them be for a few weeks, the symptoms can go as far up as my shoulders and hips.
i am not taking any medications for any of these symptoms. i have tried tylenol, ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin. none have any effect. i have tried 1/4 of a generic lortab i had left over from a tooth extraction, but that made the nausea worse and turned the lightheadedness into vertigo. i really don't like taking medicine, as most prescribed things do the same as the lortab.
i just want to know what i can do about all of this. what kind of doctor should i see? what are the possible diagnoses from these symptoms? i'm at a loss, and i don't have enough money to make rounds at different doctors for them to just pass me along to someone else. please help me.
