My Fingernails Have Started To Bend Down And Curve
No they do not need to need to be cut. They always had a slight curve to them. Once they reached a certain length. But now even short my index finger mostly, curves downward drastically. I do smoke, have chronic bronchitis and type 2 diabetes.
The curved fingernails are also characteristic of advanced COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and especially those who have smoked heavily for decades.
This is a hallmark of insufficient oxygen, common with developing emphysema. You need a pulmonary consultation.
