need help

my daughter is 16 and a competitive cross country runner . I noticed this season that she was not running well and constantly complaining about being tired.  I gave her vitamins and protien drinks thinking this would help.  she has worsened and at a teacher confremnce mulitiple teachers told me she is not the same person from years past . they say she has "lost her drive" she is "always tired"  and struggles where she should be excelling.  I took her to the doctor and the blood work showed bilirubin high and alkaline phosphates high but doctors say not so high to be concerned yet come back in three weeks to recheck mean while my daughter is missing races, church and not performing well at school and sleeping excessivly.  please help

Did they check her thyroid? Fatigue, depression weight gain and irregular periods are a sign of hypothyroidism which is where your thyroid is underactive and not working properly.  Hope this helps

I am sorry your daughter is not feeling well, I know it must be hard for you.  She may be depressed, this is often hard to diagnose. .

While waiting for the doctors, I would research the cause of each of those being high, then look up each of those causes and see what the symptoms are and compare to your daughter to see if you may find it? Sorry I am not a doctor, but I would do that to at least ease my mind or have an idea what I am dealing with or what I want her tested for if I think its that. For example, pretend the dotor tells me I have high amounts of XXXXXX. I type in the google bar (causes of high XXXX) , then it lists five diseases. I look up each disease and their symptoms. I see a disease that says it causes fatigue, and jaundice, and headaches, and whatever, and my child has all those. I say ok, and go back to the dr. and say please test my daughter for this disease. (I was not assuming you were ignorant, I just felt I worded this in a confusing way, hense the detail explainatioin.) hope shes better soon! :)
