lump in armpit

i am a healthy 26 year old. have been getting lumps in my armpits for the last few months. they are about the size of a pea, hard and painful. they usually subside after a few days. i have also noticed that their appearence coincides with a cold. when i was 6 months old i had a lymph node in my neck removed because of infection. could there be a connection there?

it could be ingrown hairs as suggested above, be careful when you shave or wax etc... I had them once, it was a reaction to the deodarant I used. it could be a reaction to the antiperspirant you are using.

You should have them examined the next time you notice them.  It could be a lymph drainage problem or a more serious issue.  A scan will be able to determine if it is fluid build up or a mass.
