weird bruising

I took a fall earlier tonight and the weirdest thing happened. I normally don't bruise easily even if I hit my body on something. Tonight I hit the side of my calf on my sons carseat. It imedately bruised and swelled. The bruise was unusal looking though. It wasn't just a solid spot it was a bunch of purple dots that formed the bruise. the last odd thing to me was the bruise disappeared in 2 minutes. Like I previously said I don't bruise easily so this is alarming. I'm not on anything that thins my blood. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I see my doctor?

Sounds like you broke a bunch of capillaries and they closed up almost immediately.  It must have been the way you hit the carseat that made you bruise.  A bruise is internal bleeding - but you say you don't bruise easily - I believe it!  No need to see the doctor unless your bruise comes back or the area hurts too much.  - Wish we were all that healthy!
