OK      just as i thought, the toxicology showed that it was not a suicide, but rather a deadly mix of xanax and methadone (both in small doses) that took my brother's life.  He had been so optimistic in his letters to his girlfriend the last 6 months, that the thought that he took his own life never made sense.  Now we know for sure that he didn't.  The Doc said that the drug n alcohol abuse weakened him, and that the small doses on the final night were enough to slow his respiration.

I'm proud that he fought addiction till the end and never gave up.   That was always his nature.  I miss him dearly but my anger is gone now.

I'm so glad to hear that he did not commit suicide. It was an accidental overdose and although it doesn't take away that he loss his life, at least you know that he did not take his if intentionally. I hope this will bring peace of mind to you and your family. I know it's been a very difficult struggle for you and I'm so glad that the anger has been lifted. The good Lord will take good care of him. His ok.....Judy
