its been a long time since I bought a carton, just a pack or two at a time because I was a professional quitter.......here in Canada they vary by location and brand. but in the west you can expect to pay at least $11 a pack/ $90+ a carton.
Soooo this week I saved at least $44...............mine goes for a birthday gift for my granddaughter.!!
Over 50 bucks a carton here! I am planning a cruise a year from now on my savings! I do try to reward myself each week tho, it makes me feel good rather than deprived. A new pair of shoes, or a pedicure, or a new purse just for me! I found that I could never read a good book and smoke at the same time, so I read alot now and frequent areas where you are not allowed to smoke with friends, especially smoking friends. Cravings are all but gone, happening only occasionally. YAY!
@aheart......................I didn't consider what I have been smoking since January...... I went off what I smoke without cutting back. I have smoked 3 cartons since Jan1....................I went 10 days without smoking, then controlled smoking LOL the rest of the time....and that was making me totally crazy. The obsession of when and where I was going to smoke next.............uggggg. But as a regular smoker not trying to quit I spent no less than $42 a week.................
Congraulations on your days clean and smoke free...............Still kind of shakey at times.... but I try to get busy........................I know I am not drinking enough water, working on that.
The high today is going to be somewhere around 70..............so I am gonna get outside...
I go to the Indian smoke shop and pretend to be native american, even though I'm blond & Scottish/English. I spend $30.00 every two weeks. I have been cutting back for awhile now. Now that money goes for something positive, instead of using it to kill myself.
Carton's of cigarettes in Raleigh NC are running around $42.00. So this week I have saved that amount.................
