Could I be Pregnant?

Hello, I am 22 years old and the last year an a half I have had to have 1 brain surgery to remove a tumor and in October I had surgery to remove some screws and plates  Over the last few months I have started to feel better and my husband and I have started to have sex again. I am not on the pill and never can be again...so we just use condoms. This time the condom broke and for the first time ever too. It was about 4 days after my period...then 5 days later I started spotting just a little when I went to the bathroom and noticed it when I wiped. Then after 2 days I started spotting dark brown and the flow got heavier. But not like a normal period. I also noticed that my breast were starting to get sore and heavier feeling. it has now been 16 days since our accident. I have never had this happen before. My stomach has been bothering me and I feel like I can hardly eat anything. I had some cramps like symptoms for the first 4 days or so. I was just wondering if any of you thought I could be pregnant? It is still to early to take a test...and in the mean time I called my specialist for my head and they took me off of all of my meds except for my seizure medications, and I have started to take prenatal vitamins. Any answers would help me out so much.
thank you

Hello,

If you think you might be pregnant take a home pregnancy test.  If negative repeat it in one week.  If positive, call your ob/gyn as it sounds like you will need the care and/or consultation of a high risk obstetrician.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing

I'm still waiting for my actual period to start and I have been cramping for 3 days now like I am going to start but I still have not. Kind of scared that maybe I am like those women that have to wait for a week after the miss their period to find out if they are or not. The blood test at the doctor said it was negative and I had it about 12 dpo so I am not sure. Could I still be pregnant and the tests be wrong?

Your going through the same thing I am.  I ended my period the 26th of May.  I'd say June 2nd i started to get cramps in my lower stomach and twice now this week when ive gone to the restroom and wiped there has been a little bit of blood.  It is too early for me to know if I'm pregnant because I'm not due to start for another week and a half. My cycle could be just changing. I would take folic acid too.  I have epilepsy and my nuerlogist recommended even before you get pregnant to start taking folic acid just to be on the safe side. If you need someone to talk to about it my email is ***@****.  Good luck
