can you use azithromycin for BV?

I have som anitbiotics (azithromycin) and I was just wondering can you use its for BV????

Hi!
The best two antibiotics to use for the types of bacteria that usually cause bacterial vaginosis, are Clindamycin and Flagyl (metronidazole).  Sometimes women have allergies to specific medications and we need to use others that are less optimal, but the best results are usually achieved with the proper antibiotics for the condition.

I have it I just wasn't sure because I've had to use it for other infections like my tooth? So I was just confused.....

You can, I have been prescribed that before for BV, but it doesn't always work and may not be for the right kind of bacteria you have
