i did start my period properly a few days later, i have now started writing them in my diary as before having my children and between the 2 of them i was on the pill tablet, iron tablets and on my 7 day break i was also put on some sort of tablet because of passing clots ?, i was then on the pill injection but due have havin arthiritas in my knee and the link of reduced bone density with the pill injection i stopped having them so i am not sure if my periods are all over the place due to having been on the injetcion

Hi!
If you were my patient,  I would probably test first for pregnancy, and once that was ruled out, prescribe progesterone to get your period started for you. It is quite common to miss a period now and then due to stress, hormone imbalance, or etc. If it happens only occassionally, there is no cause for major concern If the pattern of your cycles is persistantly abnormal, you really ought to give your doctor a call. This type of bleeding is often associated with failure to ovulate monthly,
Hope this helps!
