I just posted a question about pain that is exactly like yours. I finally got an appointment scheduled for next week. My last gynecologist, before retiring, recommended a laparoscopy. So I think I might be having that done within the next month.

Just out of curiousity, have your periods changed at all?? My periods have shortened significantly... usually only last a day or two...

I'm very concerned, as I imagine you are. I hope you post it if you find anything out!

I can't believe you had to have a total hysterectomy due to your endometriosis! I've got it too but they lasered mine out apparently. I'm still having problems and that was 4 years ago!

I have a history of kidney stones and I also had a total hysterectomy at the age of 27 due to endometriosis. for the last six months I have been having a pain in my vagina that feels like there is a clamp pinching it. now this pain is not constant. In the past I have had this pain before I am passing a kidney stone or when they were stuck and had to be surgically removed. I go to the Doctors they check my urine there is no sign of infection or even blood in it. Today I was in there with a fever and had no results. Do you have any advice for me.

Hello,

I suggest you see your gyn to have an abdominal and pelvic exam, and get scheduled for a pelvic ultrasound.  Sometimes women will feel "ovarian" pain during the time of ovulation (~ two weeks after the start of their menses), but other causes for your symptoms should be considered as well.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
