tearing on clitoris

In Oct. 2007 i went in for a routine waxing on my legs and bikini area. I prefer to get the brazilian and have been getting one for the last 4 years at the same salon.  Well on this particular occasion my waxer, Mary, was very rough and managed to make a tear on my clitoris, right down the centre of it. I don't believe it was intentional, rather accidental.  The waxing strip must have landed a bit lower and my underwear was pulled to the side to allow her access and voila, a painful tear ensued.  Its been a few months and my clitoris has definetly been damaged. i haven't lost sensation but it is more about the esthetics for me.  I want my clitoris to look like how it did before.  is there any products on the market that will enable proper healing?  one end of my clitoris is longer than the other and its extremely upsetting esp. its made me feel a lot more insecure in the bedroom.  An area like the clitoris should be symetrical and i felt embarassed when boyfriend pointed it out that it wasn't and what did i do to myself. Am i suppose to go in for surgery to correct this new deformity or is there a product which is safe to use on a mucous membrane that will enable the skin to grow back normally?  Please advise as i'm really on the dark on this one!

Sincerely,
Dahlia

Hello,

I know of nothing you can use on the skin to help the type of asymmetry you describe.  I suggest you see a gynecologist to be examined, discuss what you don't like and determine if there may be a safe way to achieve your goal without doing more harm than good.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
