I had the same problem and it was fibroid tumors. They can get so big they push on the bladder and cause you to feel like you have to pee all the time.  I had a hysterectomy and am fine now.  Sometimes they don't have to do a complete hyster to remove them.  I believe fibroids are hormone driven.

Hello,

It is very likely you have uterine fibroids (benign tumors of the uterus).  The symptoms you describe are classic for an enlarged fibroid uterus. That said, your ob/gyn should be able to clarify with you any possible concerns for a gyn cancer (e.g., cancer of the cervix, uterus or ovaries) or the causes of an enlarged uterus in light of the exam they performed and any imaging (e.g., ultrasound) or lab work they collected.

Best of luck,

Dr. Downing
