Hi,
I am a 36 year old female with no children (by choice). My questions are:
The time between my periods is usually about 27 days. Some months it will come as early as 23 days apart and others it comes 29 or 30 days apart. I would say that about 8 out of 12 months it is 27 days apart though. Is it normal to have these variations? I also have some facial hair overgrowth that is well controled with Vaniqa and I also have some hair below my naval and around my nipples. This started when I was about 17 years old. When I was 24 yrs old I went to a doctor and I had slightly elevated prolactin levels (I don't have any nipple discharge) and testoterone levels. Could I have PCOS even though I have my period EVERY month? I don't have any other PCOS symptoms (thinning hair, skin tags, etc). If I were to have PCOS is there a danger to not being treated for it (being that I have my periods every month)? Also, I get cramps with my period in my lower abdoman and thighs - which is aleviated with Ibuprophen. Why do some women get thigh cramps during their periods? My periods last about 5 days in length...
